Musabba tul Ashr

  Bismi Allahi arrahmani arraheem

In the name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful

BENEFITS OF MUSABBA-TUL-ASHR

Sayyedina Ibrahim timi (Rehmat ullah alaih) is one of the biggest Wali Allah in islam. He is among the early founders of Qadri tariqa. This is what he said about Musabba-Tul-Ashr.

One day I was sitting in front of the Kaba in Mecca and a beautiful looking very handsome man came and said salam to me and sat next to me on my right hand side. In my whole life I had never seen any man better looking, more respectable looking, more handsome, better dressed, more white, and better smelling than him.

I said to him “ O man of Allah who are you and where did you come from?”

He replied” I am Khizar (Prophet Khidar Alai hissalam) “

I asked him “ why do I have the honour of meeting you?”

He replied “ I came just because of Allah and to give you a gift”

I asked him “ what is that gift? ”

He replied “ always read Musabba-Tul-Ashr before sunrise and before sunset”

Then he explained to me about Musabba-Tul-Ashr and instructed me never to stop reading them.

I asked him to tell me the savab (benefit) of reading them. He said when you meet the Holy Prophet (Sallal laho alaihe wasallaam) you ask him. He will explain the benefits to you.

Sheikh Ibrahim Timi (Rehmat ullah alaih) started reading them and one night he saw in his dream that angels came and picked him up and took him to Jannah. He saw everything in Jannah. The angels showed him everything and explained everything in detail. He asked them “all the things I saw in Jannah are for whom?

The angels replied "these are for anyone who does like you do (meaning who reads  Musabba-Tul-Ashr)."

He also said that the angels gave him the fruits to eat and gave him the wine from Jannah to drink.

Then the Holy Prophet (Sallal laho alaihe wasallaam) came with such a grace that there were 70 Prophets with him and 70 rows of angels and every row of angels was as long as from east to west.

The Holy Prophet (Sallal laho alaihe wasallaam) said salam to me and took my hand in his hand. I asked the Holy Prophet (Sallal laho alaihe wasallaam) that Khizar (Prophet Khidar Alai hissalam) told me that he heard a hadis from you.

The holy prophet (Sallal laho alaihe wasallaam) said 3 times. “whatever Khidar (Alai hissalam) said was true.”

And the Holy Prophet (Sallal laho alaihe wasallaam) said:

“whatever Khidar (Alai hissalam) says is true. On the face of the earth he is the biggest Alim (scholar), the boss of all Abdal and among the armies of Allah on earth, he is one of the army.”

I then asked the Holy Prophet (Sallal laho alaihe wasallaam)  “anyone who will do the same as me (Meaning read Musabba-Tul-Ashr) what will he get?”

The Holy Prophet (Sallal laho alaihe wasallaam)  said :

Allah will forgive all his biggest sins which he did.

Allah will take away azab from him and his anger (meaning Allah will never get angry from him).

Allah will ask the angel on his left not to write his sins for one year. (if you read it once only)

And only he will do it whom Allah created as lucky and only he will stop doing it, who was born as unlucky.

Then the Holy Prophet (Sallal laho alaihe wasallaam) explained other benefits of Musabba-Tul-Ashr

When Sheikh Ibrahim timi (Rehmat ullah alaih) woke up from his dream he never ate or drank anything again until death. He never needed any food or drink again.

All the above incident is also written in ihya-e-alum written by the famous Imam Ghazali (Rehmat ullah alaih). All Aulia Allah read it every day and ask their murid to read it too.

Sheikh Kaleem ullah Jahanabadi (Rehmat ullah alaih), a very famous Qadri wali Allah from India, also said that anyone who reads Musabba-Tul-Ashr everyday, 4 angles who ride and are very close to Allah will be with him 24 hours a day to protect him.
